Until Fate steps in.

Unable to fight the incredible pull he feels to Olivia, a girl who was supposed to be just a meaningless one night stand, Lorenzo gives into his heart. But only after making one thing utterly clear. He will not deal with any exe's or other men in her life. Period.

She's not that person anymore.

For too long Olivia Romero shamefully put up with an manipulative and overly controlling boyfriend. So when fate pairs her up with the gorgeous but intense Air Force pilot she's ready to stand her ground. Cutting all ties with her ex is no sacrifice for Olivia. It's why she willingly complies with Lorenzo's uncompromising stipulation.

As their relationship intensifies so do Lorenzo's suspicions about any man in her life. Determined to not be that weak girl anymore, Olivia demands to be trusted. Despite how vehement her new boyfriend can be, her diligence seems to be working.

But when an unforeseen crisis arises Olivia is forced to make a decision. A decision she knows in Lorenzo's jaded and suspicious mind could be unforgivable.

Excerpt:

Walking smack into a wall jolted her instantly out of her thoughts. The moment she realized the solid wall was actually a man’s chest was mortifying enough, but when her eyes met Lorenzo’s uncompromising expression, her legs went weak.

“I’m sorry,” she said, feeling her face go hot, and pulled her hand away from his chest where it’d flown in reflex.

She was caught in his intense eyes as she had been earlier. Like she had been so many times the night she met him. But it was only momentarily.

“Don’t be,” he said, glancing away quickly, and if she weren’t mistaken, he seemed a bit panicked. Maybe his wife or fiancée was here. “I wasn’t paying attention either.”

They stood there in heavy silence for a few awkward seconds until she finally smiled and shrugged. “Small world, huh?”

The miniscule nod said he agreed, but his vacant expression now bordered on hard. His eyes lowered, and she gulped when she realized he was staring at her lips. He licked his lips as the memory of his kisses inundated her. Is that what he was thinking of too? She stared at his lips as she felt his face lean in a little closer to hers and froze when she could actually feel his warm breath so close to her lips. Just when she’d been certain he was going to kiss her, he froze too and their eyes met again. “Too small maybe.”

Ouch.

“I can assure you,” he went on as he pulled back suddenly, “if I’d known you’d be here . . .” He glanced away with a frown without finishing then tipped the edge of his hat with a painfully forced smile. “My apologies for running into you,” he said tersely. “Have a good day.”

Author Guest Post:

Zee: What is the most memorable thing a reader has told you, be it in email, book signing, etc.?

Elizabeth:

I've had many memorable messages both in person and via email from readers. It's hard to pick out the most memorable one but the ones that always tug my heart are from readers who reach out to tell me about how my books got them through a tough time in their lives. Some have written to me from a hospital bed, some while they're getting their chemo therapy. Other's have written to tell me my books have gotten them through a very hard break up and then some are less emotional but equally smile inducing. Like the ones who say my books help make their train commute and such much more pleasant or that they didn't like reading until they came across one of my books, got hooked and now they love reading! I LOVE hearing from my readers so just about everything they write or share with me stays with me. I mostly hear from women but I did have one guy message me more than once to tell me he's still looking for his Sarah. =)
Then there are the funny ones. One in particular that I still makes me giggle was from reader who came out to see me at a signing in Temecula California. She said her whole family was hooked on my books. This was back before I'd even started writing Suspicious Minds. She said. "I gotta tell you a funny story. My daughter tells me a few weeks ago. Oh mom, Elizabeth posted about her upcoming books. Guess who's up next in her Fate series? Sydney and Lorenzo! And I said really? I always wondered about Sydney since all those years  he spent being Sarah's best friend and never made a move. But I didn't think Lorenzo was gay. My daughter looks at me like I'm crazy then starts laughing. No! Not their story as a couple; they're each getting their own story in the series and I said oooh! Then we both had a good laugh!"
For the record Sydney is not gay. Nothing against it I just have other big plans for Syd! ;)

Zee: I did wonder about Sydney after Angel and Sarah's story. I am so excited to read his story next! I hope he and Sarah get back to being close friends and I really hope Angel would be a little more tolerable towards Sydney. LOL. Thanks for gracing us with your presence, Ms. Reyes! :)

Cover Reveal + Teaser + Giveaway ~ Found In Us (Lost #2) by Layla Hagen

Title: Found in Us
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Publishing Date: 24 July
Series: Lost Series #2

    Book Summary:

**This can be read as a STANDALONE. The second book in the Lost series tells Jessica and Parker's story. **

All Jessica wants—as a college graduate — is to be a good girl. She landed the job of her dreams at a museum and is trying to eliminate temptations. No more short skirts (when she can help it). No wild parties. And no men.

She particularly excels at that last thing. . .

Until her path crosses Parker’s. Again. Jessica remembers the last time their paths crossed very well. She was left with a seriously bruised ego. She knows it would be best to avoid him altogether. But the charming Brit makes it hard for her to elude his electrifying pull. He is as irresistible as he is captivating.

And enigmatic.

Because underneath the sleek Armani suit and the sweet British accent that makes her crave his touch, Parker isn’t the perfect gentleman everyone thinks he is.

He’s exactly what Jessica doesn’t want, but desperately needs.

A bad, bad boy.

Lost in Us (Lost #1)

.*New Adult Contemporary Romance*

Serena has learned to live with her past, locking her secrets and nightmares deep inside her. But when her boyfriend of six years abruptly leaves her, she’s catapulted back into pain, nursing a broken heart. When indulging in mountains of chocolate doesn’t work, Serena decides the best way to deal with her shattered heart is to indulge in something else. A rebound . . .

The night she swaps her usual Sprite for tequila, she meets James. The encounter is breathtaking.

Electrifying.

And best not repeated.

James is a successful entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. A man who has amassed a fortune by taking risks. A man who has shunned commitment completely, and still does. He’s the exact opposite of Serena. But sometimes opposites attract. Sometimes they give in to burning passion. Sometimes opposites are perfect for each other.

James is everything her damaged soul could want. His kisses are intoxicating, his touch out of this world. He makes her forget. He grants her peace from her pain. But as they grow closer, Serena discovers she isn’t the only one with a past. James carries the scars of a past much darker than hers. One that has left him damaged, hurt, and wary of love. A past that gives him the power to shatter her.

Now James and Serena must find a way to mend one another. Or risk losing each other forever.

And read my review right here!

Lost (Lost #0.5)

**Lost is a prequel novella to Lost in Us and can be read before or after. **

Whatever might help him forget his past and numb the pain, James has tried it all: booze, car races, fights, and then some. Especially women. College offers plenty of opportunities for everything. . . Especially when you have a trust fund to spend.

Serena spirals deeper and deeper into a hurricane of pain. But no matter how far she falls, there’s no redemption from the overwhelming guilt.

Two souls consumed by their pasts fight to learn how to survive. But all hope seems to be lost.
Until they meet each other.
